Healthcare by Women

Health Care By Women is designed to give more visibility to women in all forms of healthcare. There are numerous reasons for this, which may differ for each person. However, the reason we created this site is straightforward: Overall, and as shown in numerous studies (both referenced and cited below), women take the health concerns and complaints of other women more seriously than their male counterparts. Women of color have the worst outcomes of all. This is a general observation, so if you are or know a male healthcare provider, this does not necessarily apply to you or them individually. It's about the overall trends, not about individuals. Think of it not as ACAB but more as WTWB (women treat women better), emphasizing the importance of empathy and understanding in healthcare.
